The Ramadan Dinner was once again arranged by the Domus Cordis Community on March 14, 2026, as a concrete manifestation of the solidarity and interfaith care. 88 young volunteers from a variety of backgrounds participated in this event, which invited 100 children from seven orphanages in Jakarta: Panti Yatim Indonesia Branch Kebayoran Baru, Panti Yatim Indonesia Branch Tebet, Panti Asuhan Mizan Amanah Branch Salihara, Bunga Rampai, Kemandoran, Kalisari Raya, and Cipete.

Atma Jaya Catholic University of Indonesia, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta, and Domus Cordis worked well together to make this Ramadan Dinner event a success. Colleagues from different institutions working together is an example of interfaith cooperation, which is more than just a theory but a practical reality.
This activity was first started in response to the persistent problem of religious intolerance in Indonesia, which frequently results from a lack of awareness of differences. In addition to responding to the invitation to be present for our brothers and sisters in the LKMTD group (Weak, Small, Poor, Marginalized, and Disabled), Domus Cordis hopes to establish a friendly and productive gathering place through this activity.
The Quran's recitation and a sermon that offered a profound analysis of the value of compassion and empathy were added to the sequence of events. The ambiance in Hall Karol Wojtla, Atma Jaya Semanggi Campus, was further enhanced by the rhythmic beats of a group of Hadroh players. Throughout the sequence of events, meaningful basic togetherness and a variety of games were used to promote interactions between volunteers and participants.
“As a Catholic, I have no trouble serving God's people of all religions. "My feeling today is very happy to be able to accompany the younger siblings from the orphanage, especially seeing them eat food they have never tried at the orphanage." (NN, Volunteer)
This unity persisted throughout the planning and performance of the Maghrib prayer, as volunteers provided full attention and care to ensure the flawless operation of the events. Following that, there was a shared dinner, which was once more punctuated by light games. In addition to being delightful, the increasingly intimate exchanges made a lasting impression on everyone involved.

Domus Cordis is still dedicated to provide a forum for young people to engage in interfaith dialogue. Not just through dialogue, but also by actual deeds that have a direct impact on other people's lives. Ramadan Dinner 2026 evolved into a shared experience that strengthened the principles of humanity in diversity, promoted empathy, and expanded viewpoints.
